The Planning Summer School awarded two Travelling Scholarships in 2007, one to a student and one to a practitioner.

Jamie Birtles, now a Consultant Planner with Faber Maunsell visited Singapore to assess how the Land Transport Authority intends to reach its ambitious target of achieving 75% of all trips on land being made by public transport.
Both award winners presented their findings with illustrated presentations on the evening of Sunday 9 September to an appreciative audience of delegates attending Planners’ School 2 in Swansea. Their presentations are now available in the Swansea 2007 Papers section of this website.
