This year Summer School re-visits the University of York.

The overall theme for the 2010 schools is “Planning to live within our means”.

New for 2010

“THE BIG DEBATE”

Leading speakers will propose and oppose an important topic of the day and delegates will be invited to join in a debate and to vote on a proposition.

Old Favourites

  • Papers by leading practitioners;
  • Participative workshops on a  range of practical issues;
  • Study tours highlighting planning issues in the region;
  • Evening papers and entertainment

All within the informal fun and sociable atmosphere which is the hallmark of the unique event which is Planning Summer School.

Here's what some of the happy delegates at the recent Planning Summer School said about the event:

"Summer School is special because of the range of issues covered, the valuable educational experience and the opportunities to converse with and learn from other delegates sharing a common interest."  Nick Davies, Canterbury District Council

"Quick moving, wide ranging and relevant".   Cllr Gillian Merry, Cheshire East District Council
